Pay me now… there's something in it for you!

I renewed the league today... let me know WHEN you are paying, because I'm giving the first five verbal commits a $2 discount!

Here's how it works...

1) When you're about to put the check in the mail or paypal it (graceonme@hotmail.com), alert me via personal message. I'll let you know whether you were fast enough for the discount or not.

2) Once you have received my personal message, go ahead and send your discounted rate to me.

3) Be happy because you're responsible and quick!

4) Offer expires September 20. Then everyone pays $10 and more goes into our trophy fund. Either way, everyone wins.

New Owner Application #1

Here is our first New Owner application for NCU Fantasy Basketball 2009-10. Read this baby over, then feel free to comment on this blog or on the League Home Page.

Your name: Troy Balego

Who asked you to be in the league? Jamaal Gilbert

How long have you been playing fantasy sports, and why do you like fantasy sports?

Answer: First joined a fantasy football league when I was in seventh grade in 1995. It gives you a reason to follow the league more closely. It makes every game matter. I normally would pay too much attention to the Atlanta Hawks, but if I had Josh Smith I would follow them.

Please give us an idea of how closely you follow the NBA.

Answer: I follow it extremely closely. I have NBA League Pass and follow everything possible online.I'm also a huge WNBA fan. I'd consider drafting Diana Taurasi in a later round.

What is your favorite scoring format (roto H2H/scoring H2H/straight-up rotisserie vs. the league, others)?

Answer: roto H2H

What is your favorite draft format (snake draft/auction-style/escalator)?

Answer: Snake draft

How many hours a week do you expect to spend on fantasy sports (trades, setting your lineup, message board)?

Answer: As many as possible

What do you feel you bring to the table in a fantasy league – why should we vote for you?

Answer: I'm very knowledgable about the NBA. Being a fan of the NBA while living in Minnesota is very difficult. Participating in this league would give me players to root for after the Wolves have been eliminated from playoff contention in December.

Tell us a bit about yourself… work, where you live, etc.

I live in coon rapids. I work for Ameriprise Financial in downtown Minneapolis.
